On Monday 9th March we started a project for 3rd of ESO called The Magic of Musicals. We want to introduce the students to the world of musicals which are so important in our school since we have been doing musicals for ten years now.
The students are going to work on this subject from different points of view and with the aim of improving their musical skills as well as their English. It is a trip around the musicals of our school, some popular musicals of Barcelona and the most famous ones in the West End of London.
Most of the project is in English and we are trying to offer the students several activities that encourage them to improve the language. For example, today we had the opportunity to learn about Scottish culture with Donald Nicolson. He is a Scottish musician and today he has given us a lesson on popular and traditional music from Scotland. It has been an exciting workshop with popular dances and songs. Undoubtedly our students have enjoyed it showing their best dancing skills. Thank you, Donald for your interesting workshop!

El dilluns 9 de març vam iniciar un projecte per a 3r d’ESO anomenat “La màgia dels musicals”.
Volem introduir els estudiants en el món dels musicals, que són tan importants al nostre centre, ja que fa deu anys que l’alumnat de 3r d’ESO en representa.
Els estudiants treballaran aquest tema des de diferents punts de vista, amb l'objectiu de millorar les seves habilitats musicals i el seu anglès. El projecte és un viatge pels musicals de la nostra escola, alguns musicals populars de Barcelona i els més famosos del West End de Londres.
La majoria del projecte està en anglès i estem intentant oferir als estudiants diverses activitats que els animin a millorar l'idioma. Per exemple, el 9 de març vam tenir l’oportunitat de conèixer la cultura escocesa amb Donald Nicolson. És un músic escocès que va fer una lliçó sobre música popular i tradicional d’Escòcia. Va ser un taller emocionant, amb danses i cançons populars. Sens dubte, els nostres alumnes es van divertir mostrant les seves millors habilitats de ball.
